Really great book! I loved how each experience was supported by parts of the bible. The description of how he saw Jesus was beautiful and the details of the crucifixion were heartbreaking. To know of Christ being crucified but then reading what that actually meant for a human body was overwhelmingly tough to digest. There are so many great points to stop and self reflect on that this book could easily be read over and over. I found myself stopping quite often to read in my bible app the verses listed for many parts of the bible that I have yet to read.
One key takeaway for me is to be more mindful of the words I speak. Understanding that my words can be used against me at any time really helps with putting into perspective that we truly need to choose our words carefully.
I have so many unanswered questions (due to my lack of reading the bible consistently) but thanks to this book I had a few “ah-ha” moments where questions were answered and things just clicked.

I have read and bought John Burke's books, Imagine Heaven and Imagine the God Of Heaven, several times. In fact any person I encounter, if the topic comes up I grab my book and give it away and then buy it again. I have both books at all times. I encountered Gabe's story through a podcast and bought the book immediately. I cried at times, was challenged to re-think ALOT of times, agreed most times and even thought hmmm sometimes, but overall, this author is compelling, and truthful, so thoughtful, humble, thankful, but most of all SO encouraging and hopeful. I can't honestly say I will do with this book as I have done with John Burke's books, but I may, depending on the situation. It's short, you can read it in a day, and honestly at times I felt I was reading the book of Ezekiel in the Bible, which makes this testimony so much stronger because you see how hard it is for his human brain to explain about heaven and heavenly things.
